West Systems is a manufacturer of high quality adhesives. They are best known for their marine epoxies. In June 2007 they introduced G/flex.

G/flex is a tough two part epoxy that is specifically designed to bond metals, plastics, fiberglass and difficult to bond woods. The mix ratio is 1:1. This special epoxy withstands expansion, contraction, shock and vibration.

The pot life is 45 minutes and the working time is 75 minutes at 70°F. The initial cure time is 3-4 hours. The workable cure time is 7-10 hours and a full cure in 24 hours. We recommend waiting a 24 hours before working with the materials being bonded.

G5 is a two part fast curing epoxy. It is used for quick repairs or spot applications to hold parts in position while standard epoxy cures. G5 cures in 3-5 minutes.

We recommend G/flex over G5. G/flex is a stronger epoxy. The only advantage G5 has is shorter cure time. Be patient and get a better bond with G/flex.

This is a two part epoxy. We sell the hardener and resin together. The hardener is specially formulated to be almost clear when the epoxy hardens. G/flex is yellow when hard.

Use this epoxy to coat cord or silk wrapping on knife handles or where you need clear epoxy.

We recommend using WS300 pumps to dispense the resin and hardener. The ratio of resin to hardener is NOT 1:1. The two cans are different sizes and will be empty at the same time if you mix the correct ratio.

Use these pumps with WS207SA epoxy. The pumps are metered to dispense the correct ratio. The pumps are designed so they fit only on the correct can. West System could not have made it easier. The pumps will last for many cans of hardener and resin.
